HOMEMADE SEAWEED SNACK

There are many things about living in Vancouver that one just has to laugh at. I've had a week of those little ridiculous things coming up and making me really wonder about the lack of critical thinking that sometimes exists and the strange direction society takes. Around the corner from us for example...there is a high end pet boutique / spa. I was shocked to see that their services include dropping your dog off to take a walk on one of their doggy treadmills...probably the most backwards thing I have ever seen! Another interesting phenomenon to hit Vancouver lately is a very popular "new" snack. You find what they are calling sea snacks everywhere!
Basically these little packs of salted nori paper in a little package that sells for 2-4 dollars. I really can't believe that people spend their money on what is essentially the cheapest snack in the world to make. Marketing can be so silly sometimes..you are basically buying the plastic packaging at this point because there are so few nori pieces per pack! I'm not saying this is not a wonderful snack...it really is a great idea. So today I have a secret to share. It's a really good one. Buy a huge package of roasted nori for a few dollars, save your money and put a few nori sheets in the oven for 5 minutes.

Homemade Seaweed Snack
INGREDIENTS:
✿ Roasted Nori Sheets
✿ Olive Oil

✿ Sea Salt
✿ Favourite Spice

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) This is going to be fun! I'm taking up a whole line of instructions just because if there is only one line it might not look like a recipe!! First preheat the oven to 300F.
2) Place nori sheets on a baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
3) Put the baking sheet in the oven for 4-5 minutes until lightly crisped. Remove from the oven and cut into strips.
4) Enjoy!

HAVE YOURSELF A WONDERFUL END TO THE WEEKEND!

Love,
Malakai
